About Madison Wesley
Hello! My name is Madison Wesley. I am a third-year Medical Sciences student at the University of Cincinnati. I am also a member of UC's Connections BS/MD program. I grew up in the greater Cincinnati area, and I am thrilled that I get to continue to live in this amazing city through college. In my free time, I like to spend time with my friends, play with my cats, Salem and Nora, read, and play the guitar. I also tend to spend a large chunk of my time in the Danzer lab at CCHMC, where I work on a project focusing on interneuron morphology and its potentially protective factors against epilepsy. After college, I will attend UC's College of Medicine to
become a physician. I am not entirely sure what specialty I want to go into at this point, but I do love being around children and I have an interest in neuroscience, so I think that pediatrics or neurology/neurosurgery could be a good fit.

Throughout my time in the University Honors Program, I hope to explore my interests in medicine and connect with my fellow peers in the program. Whether that be through subject-related seminars, research opportunities, or studying abroad, I know that I have so much to discover about myself through UHP!
